Ok I've been seeing tu, eq, and exp scores all over the place. I know my credit is fairly good, however I would like to keep track of it and monitor it from time to time. Which place offers the most accurate (viable) score? How often can I check my score without screwing up my score (gotta love the way they do that)? Also, I did check my score like 4-5 months ago using some provider thru yahoo, and about 1 month ago from eloan and recently (1 month ago) got a new exxon/mobil mastercard. if i check my score again am i gonna hurt the score? how big of an impact does inq's make?

If I remember right, inquiries done in a thirty day period only count as one inquiry.

What I don't know is if the inquiries have to be on only one credit report, or can you inquire on all three.

Sorry for the half-answer. Hopefully someone can fill us in on it...

BTW - I did hear Equifax (As much as I hate them!) is the most accurate

When you pull your own report, it has no effect on your score. Period. Only Creditors inquiries hurt.

And, all inquiries count as inquiries. No matter when they are pulled. Even in a 30 day period.

It appears (so far, anyway) that consumer disclosures (checking your own report) does not lower your score.

Are you sure of this??? Maybe if it's the same company (In my case, my bank) that pulls it then it only counts once.

I have 2 inquiries in 5 days from the same place that count as 2 inquiries. Maybe your bank doesn't pull your report twice. Every time a report is pulled, no matter how frequently or infrequently, it is logged on your file.

My credit union pulled my report twice in the same day. Do you recommend I dispute this?

so i can pull my score once a month and not hurt my score at all? i saw some places offering like multiple reports for consumers, are there any that offer like unlimited for 6 months or something?

You can pull your score every day and not hurt it. Consumer disclosure = soft inquiry.

Some of us(me) are a little goofy and check our EX creditexpert score almost everyday :)

Credit Expert is free for 30 days and/or $79 for a year, unlimited score and credit reports in that time. They only get updated once in a 24 hour period.
