I successfully sued a collection agency this year. My claims were for violations that occured during a phone call. I did not have to have a paper trail. I hired an attorney. I was awarded damages, much more than the attorney expected. It was quite fun. I hope I have another opportunity to do this in the future! I highly recommend it! Sorry I am not more help. Terri Do you remember reading where someone sued a CA and lost b/c they couldn't prove damages..(or something to that affect?) I think I read something like that but I can't find it when I run a search!

I was sure that was what it said, because I was thinking that it was not correct because I just did it, but it was too late to chime in on the conversation. Re: Who here has sued a Collection The reason my info is not very helpful to you is because my damages were more in the way of "emotional" because of the way the ca rep spoke to me on the phone.
