Got a call on caller id last night from Cavalry. Looked up the phone # and it is listed under First Credit Solutions, Inc. located in Tulsa. Never heard of either except on Bud Hibb's website saying how skanky they are. Only thing I can think is that some scumdog I sent a validaton letter to must have sent them the account or something because all my collections are old if that makes sense. Cavalry called again this morning. Should I sent a partial C&D along with validation request to Cavalry or to First Credit Solutions since they have different addresses?
No to both. So I guess sending them a letter asking that they communicate with me in writing only would not make sense yet, would it? I want to know what this is about though, yet I'm hesitatnt about calling them since I'm one of those who tend to give out way too much info on the phone.
You need to know what they are calling about. Call them back and ask what it is about. After listening to their spiel, tell them to send you a letter. Don't give any other info. If you do, it is your own fault. Don't acknowledge if the debt they are calling about is yours. Don't say anything. Is there anything from tem in your credit reports? They sent me notice asking me to pay a 10 year old debt of $46. I sent a letter back telling them SOL is up and to not even think of putting this account in my credit report and that I will sue till they go bankrupt if they did anything stupid. Never heard from them again.
Nothing is showing up on my reports yet. Okay, I am going to give them a call and offer absolutely NO information whatsoever. Thank you for your advice.
they are very difficult to work with... cavalry investments bought out first credit solutions this year. I am trying to get a tradeline corrected, previously reported under FCS and now cavalry investments. When I write to cavalry, they say it is FCS' problem. When I write to FCS, they say it is cavalry's problem. They are apparently having an "identity" crisis and I'm completely fed up with them.
