I sent out a dispute to equifax and i received a letter back from CSC Credit Services responding to my dispute but did not mention that any items were removed/deleted or account was verified. Can someone explain to me what is it that they do?
They are a company that owns certain areas of the country that Equifax services. They are local credit bureaus usually coveraging a specific zipcode radious. CSC owns the credit files but they are maintained through the equifax database. If you live in an area (zipcode) that CSC owns then Equifax ships your disputes directly for them and they initiate the dispute. They do exactly what Equifax does in that they contact whomever you are disputing. Several decades ago there where hundread of these local bureaus but as time went on the bureaus Exp TU and Equ slowly bought up the local guys. Hope this information helps.
