    CSC=Credit Services Collections
    A collection agent

Tell them you do not conduct business over the telephone, if they have anything for you they need to send it to you.

Keep everything they send you, and post your questions here for people to help you deal with them

    You're welcome.

BTW I would not give them any info, especially SSN's, or other personal info. It is not up to you to make their job easy

be careful this could possibly be a scam artist as well trying to steal your identity.

most Ca will send you a notice in writing if they want to collect a debt .

I would NEVER verify ANYTHING over the phone!!
you never want to give a CA your ss#, dob , DL # or bank info they may use it against you.

if your not sure who this is I would get a phone number and a name and call back a few different times to see who answers you don't have to say anything but hang up.

If this party continues to call , and wont verify anything with you play dumb and tell them you need their address so you can send them a payment gather as much info as you can then verify that name address online with the BBB.

if it doesn't match and the caller will not verify the info call the Police and report the incident immediately to protect yourself.

if you are sure of who this company is then send them a C&D letter or request that all further communication be in writing only.

There is another csc they are a CRA. When i contact eq about something they refer me to csc because they handle certain social security numers.
check out www.csccredit.com im not saying the person that contacted you wasnt from a CA but they might be from this other CSC credit place. Infact csc has even sent me my credit reports and they are the ones who respond when i do disputes with equifax

Hi I called its called credit solutions company, I checked my husbands credit report and they reaged a old direct merchants account on there, so Im going to have fun trying to get this off in time to refinance. There number is 1-800-250-8877, I havent received anything in the mail ,I think the dola was 3-2000 that was when it first became past due and no payment was made since then, I know the sol is 4 years for ca but not sure when the sol goes in effect.

The SOL probably goes into effect, when the first payment was due, but missed. Since CR's don't show days, its always best to presume an extra month, so by the end of 4-2004 the account was probably SOL, which means as of 5-2004 you should be within SOL. To even be safer, since its only 10 days away, send a validation letter on June 1, 2004 (its still within the 30 days.) :)

Disclaimer: I am real new to all this, but have been studying hard...

Isn't the SOL calculated as by taking the date of the first missed due date after the last payment was made - then adding 180 days to that (6 months), then add the SOL to that?

So by that, you would have until 11-2004, not 5-2004, right?

Also keep in mind that SOL won't help you a bit with your FICO score.

If this agency purchased the debt, they can continue to report it until the 7 year point from the date of first delinquency.

Even if they have no court sponsored what to collect, they can keep reporting it if they so wish.

    You DO understand that, right?

SOL is the time in which the CA can sue to collect the debt, this date starts the FIRST day that the account is delinquant and isn't brought current.

The 180 days referrs to the account MUST be charged off within 180 days of the delinquancy, and then the account will be deleted from your credit report 7 years after it becomes a charge off (so 7 years 180 days at the max from delinquancy)

Hope this clears that up for you.

    120 days as of 9-2000
    90 days as of 8-2000

Just recieved a call from this agency called "Credit Solutions Corp." The call was from Patricia Gomez at ext. 7274, I called her back and she said she was calling in regards to an over due bill in "Burbank CA". T old her we've never ever lived in Burbank CA, the she named off some kind of address her in Tucson AZ get this she couldn't even pronounce Tucson correctly. I advised her that we've never lived in Burbank CA much less at the addres she'd told me, yup I corrected her in the prounounciation of Tucson. Told her we've lived in AZ for over 20 yrs. and that I'd looked up her company. Advised her not to call here ever again.
