I have my experian report cleaned up and need to start on my TU and equifax. I have an equifax coming, denied increase on dillards. I need a card to apply for that pulls Tu so I can start on the report. Thanks.
Chase and BofA pulled TU for me last month. Approved for both with an unpaid 5 year old $549 collection and 3 - 2 year 30 day lates. Don't know my score because of the bogus score that TU gives.
Can't you just put anything in that box if you apply online?? That's what I did, and it worked for me!! I put a CC that I had been denied on another report, instead of wasting an inquiry. HTH
I tried that and it didn't work for me. It seems that they scanned the inquiry section of your report and if it is not listed with a date within the 60 day period they say they don't have a record of you being denied credit. However, they will still send you a copy in the mail.
Annie, I know this was directed to Tracy, but this is how it works. Log on to Transunion.com. You can get your free report by stating that you have been denied credit in the past 60 days. You must click on the link that says "denied credit within past 60days". It will ask for all your info and want to know the name of the company who denied you credit. Just put in any bank and then use a date within 60 days. This will give you a free report.
Hi, sorry, email isn't working so I didn't notice the replies to this post. But, yes, as Christi said, just go to TU online and apply, saying you got declined for a cc. I've done it twice in the last month, and haven't applied for anything at all. I just printed out the report when I got there. The thing w/ TU is, whenever you dispute and they've finished their investigation, they will send you a new report. EQ is the same way!! I wouldn't waste an inquiry if you don't have to. G/L and let us know if it works. I'll check back later if I'm still not getting email from here!!
THE SCOOP ON TU Yes it does work, especially if you were denied credit, use the same creditor grantor that denied you and you can get your report over and over again. 4 times in the last 2 weeks. However there is a drawback. If you dispute something, your report is frozen until the disputes are over, so if there are changes and I mean any change whether bad or good you will not be able to view them until you new report comes out. So basically if you dispute today and pull a report two days from now you are still seeing the same report. Stupid yes I know, same think the CSR said to me as she explained it to me. She also said one we dispute, their screen is frozen also so they do not see any new changes. Just what is occuring on your disputes. We both also thought that was stupid.
I think that it's not just because it's in dispute. I believe that the way it works, is the one report you get is the only one you see in those 6-7 days. It's not supposed to get updated at all, whether you have anything in dispute or not. the only way to see a new one is to order it, or wait until they settle your dispute and send the new one to you. It's really no different than getting it in the mail. You only have the hard copy that they send to you. It' s a good way to get that first report though, and then they'll just keep sending them to you!
No, no I did not mean the version you see for the week, I mean a new pull altogether with a different log in and password
Just tryed to pull the TU using your suggestion and I am "blocked" , What does that mean? I was blocked when I tryed to pay for it as well. Are there systems really that old and unreliable. I do not think they have a report for me online at all!!!
Sometimes you get blocked for not answering the questions correctly or if you are requesting from an address they do not have on file
You must make sure that you have your information in front of you to pass the test. If you don't have an old TU report to help you answer the questions, pull your Worthknowing report to help you out. Hope it helps. (pulled 4 in 1 week)
Sears pulls TU. Chase pulls TU for applications, but used Experian for a review of my account. So my beautiful prime+1.4% rate, based on TU, was superceded by a prime +7.99% rate, based on Experian.
Interesting. For us, Chase pulled EX for the application, then TU for all of the ARs. (It's been a bear getting line increases.) Except of course for the one time we managed to get them to pull EX for the AR and the limit went from $4000 to $12000, just like that. DemPooches
