I called the 800 phone numbers on each of my statements. A regular customer service rep helped me out each time. The accounts were current and open when I did it.

I tried the goodwill phonecall to Stucture.. no luck here. I got the ole legally required to report the correct info speech.

My guess is that since the account is closed, over 4 years old, and the lates are really late... they do not have much to gain by changing the status.. this is by far my worst account.

I have also sent something via planetfeedback. Hopefully it falls in the right person's hands.

I just sent one to Target via planetfeedback.com, hopefully they will have pitty on me. Based on the stats here it seems that they are pretty nice :)

Bankone - Yes (PFB letter) Closed auto acct: 30 and 60 removed!

Lazarus/FDS - No to PFB letter..

Structure/WFNNB - Their reply to my PFB letter - they are sending the request to Allied Data Systems... anyone else have luck with this, it sure doesn't sound good.

    Goodwill Reasons?

I have a couple of recent 30 days with Chase *for good reason* that I haven't been able to get off with a phone call or PFB, so I've recently sent a letter. I have some late payments on other accounts, but I really don't have a good excuse for them. My finances were just out of control for a while and I was consistently late for months :( How could I phrase a goodwill letter, if I were the creditor I wouldn't take those off so I'm having a hard time writting such a letter.

Or am I better off just disputing through the CRAs and hoping they don't bother replying and the entire TL comes off?

If it makes a difference, a couple of these accounts were revolving accounts closed by the creditor, and reporting as such.

    TIA,

    Lynn

I used to work in their collection department. Alliance Data Systems and World Financial Network National Bank are 1 and the same. More specifically, World Financial Network National Bank is the bank chartered by Alliance Data Systems (formerly Limited Credit Services)

    Hope this helps!

Who did you send your letter to @ Discover? I see a lot of mixed results.

    Thanks

    Has anyone tried:
    Applied Bank?
    Blair?
    Credit One Bank?
    Ginnys?

A couple of these accounts went to a CA. Should I goodwill both the OC and the collection agency?

I realize I'm replying to a really old thread, but maybe this will help someone.

I had a Blair account that was charged off. They let me pay it off and re-opened the account. I then discovered that Blair doesn't report to the CRAs for good accounts, only delinquent ones. So the charge-off was still showing on my reports. I disputed it saying in my letter "this account is not charged off, it is open and in good standing," and poof! It was gone!

Applied Bank was tougher. Went through four different collection agencies before Applied finally agreed to take the account back from the CA, accept a settlement, and remove it from my reports.
