I made a similiar suggestion a while back (not involving steak, although I like the idea; keep working on it). PBM loved it, but nothing was done with it. See: http://consumers.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?s=&pgnum=&postid=88508#post88508

It's 6:19 a.m., and guess which set of parents are up feeding our baby girl? Tip for better living: If you're addicted to Creditnet, don't keep a laptop in the bedroom. That said, lol, lemme comment on what Quixote just said...

Quixote, that was a super idea. pbm, how about it!? :) "Prime Tips" might be a place where the old-old-timers "graduate" long after their credit repair days are over. Rather than stratify this bbs, I believe such an area would actually keep people around, and hopefully those folks would take a peek over here every now and again to offer up their experience to those still struggling.

Re: WHOA: My Study of CreditNet Mem

My only thought was that by keeping a very limited set of data always near the top, a lot of the time spent answering the "Where do I find blah, blah, blah" or "Does anybody remember the name of that site that was mentioned two months ago that did blah, blah, blah." type questions would be unnecessary. Maybe even sets of links to some of the more useful threads (CreditNet Classics?), by more descriptive topics than what's available in the search engine.

An argument could be made that this would not only not be helpful, but could be harmful in the sense that those types of interactions are how the newbies meet the oldies. What say you, Doc?

PS I must say that this place is much more pleasant since I blocked out Bkev's posts. Very therapeutic. I highly recommend it. And there's no added calories.

Delayed reaction to Quixote's excellent post... :)

The more I think about your suggestion that there be a "Creditnet Classics" area (something like an FAQ, but with links to relevant threads), the more I think that would be terrific.

The same questions are cheerfully answered again and again (as they should be), but a "Creditnet Classics" area might make it easier on those asking the questions. I can't count the number of times I've seen these asked (and I'm sure you can think of a few others):

    1) They validated my debt. What do I do now?
    2) How do you sue a CRA in small claims court?
    3) What's the best way to reestablish credit after bankruptcy?
    4) etc.

Anyway, it's a great idea imho.
