    I LOVE CITIBANK!!!!

I have 2 credit cards with Citibank...

A Upromise and a Diamond preferred rewards...

I have had these for 3 1/2 to 4 months, and the credit limits are 3200 and 1000 respectivley

I have a 2400 balance on the upromise and a 600 dollar balance on the other... using up 71% available credit with Citibank

yesterday I was bored and called up and asked for a limit increase based on my payment history... (I have paid a minimum of 2 payments per month since I got them and usually between 100 and 350 dollars each time) and per card

Anyway... I call on the diamond preffered rewards card, and they give me a 1000 increase in a couple hours...

I then call back and ask for a limit increase on my upromise... I ask for 8500 limit because I will "balance transfer" and close accounts so I have less accounts... Needless to say, they wanted income verification... so, I faxed it over this morning... I call back at noon, (4 hr wait) and they are still processing...

About 1 1/2 hours later, I log in to see a new limit of 4400 bucks!!! a 1200 increase !!! I LOVE THESE GUYS!!!

I asked about the ability of consolidating creditcards, and they will combine the limits!!!

Should I do this, or should I have both cards?
Doing this would give me a $6400 credit line, and I have Shitty credit!! I think they are a GREAT company... anyone else experience this?

OH, and I am down to 48% utilization with them!!!!

I still can't get one Citi card, they still deny mine based on "ONE DELINQUENT ACCOUNT PAID, OR UNPAID", and even after PFB'ing, they refused to consider.

    Here is another increase....

Have a 3000 cc with Patelco... called them up... I have a balance of 2900... told them I want a 6000 cc gold card...

Called back 2 hrs later... approved...!!!!

I went from 70-80% utilization to about 20 or 30 in 2 days!!!! I can't wait to see my fico score!!!

Regarding the citicard... I have TONS of Derogs (all at least 2 yrs old) on my experian report which is what Citibank pulls in Jersey, and they still approve me... I think it is 6 neg accounts...

All I have done is get so many positive tradelines that it looks to be cancelling out the bad... I think I have 27 positive trade lines right now with 6 previous deliquency...

    They're pulling TU in PA.

Only a total of 3 negatives, and none of the negatives are recent, v. 2 C1, Target Visa, Target Guest (Closed/Unrated), Walmart, all my state student loans (6-8).

I've gotten Citi CL increases every 3 months until this past month; primary reason for not approving the increase was b/c I have been making minimal payments for the past few months... just goes to show.

    Mongrol,
I am in the process of trying to build up my number of positive tradelines. I'm curious to know what kinds of accounts you have to come up with 27. Do you mind sharing with me the type of accounts you have. If you prefer, feel free to email me.

    Thanks.

PS: I am post BK by about 4 months.
