Why are the 3 Scores always so different?

Okay sorry to ask such a silly question...

But why are the 3 scores always so different?

    Mine are TU/648, EQ/606, and EX/565

    565 yikes!!

All three have the same data. And I am working on getting rid of the paid/co.

But will the scores always be different?

And what are mortgage lenders looking at - the medium?

    Many thanks,
    =)P

I've noticed that too. I couldn't say for sure but I suspect that at least in my case, all of the accounts do not appear on all three reports plus some of it may be an inquiry issue. I haven't applied for anything but one account has passed through 3 collection agencies so far and I see their requests on there.

It's true that all accounts don't appear on all reports. And the information that is reported isn't always the same on all reports, which is why you always get the individual reports from each bureau.

Also, each CRA has their own algorithm that is used to compute the score. There are even variants of the actual FICO score, depending on what the customer wants.

An "auto enhanced" score, for example, will be different that a mortgage score.
