why CRA reps are the way they are

Ever wonder why it can be so tough to get your credit reports corrected? Well, it's not because CRA employees are a bunch of sociopaths who are drunk on their own sense of power; it's because they're afraid of being taken away in the paddy wagon. Here's an illuminating excerpt from that article:

When the credit agency discovers that an employee has tampered with data in a file, according to McComas, it calls in the police, who march the worker out of the office in handcuffs in front of everyone else so all can see the consequences of such an illegal act.

It's a shame that the CRAs' rigid rules of conduct don't include even a basic understanding of, or adherence to, the FCRA.

the old way to "repair credit" was to bribe a cra employee to fix it for you ;_)

I don't believe that someone is afraid of jail when they log in 1 of 3 disputes I send in...

when they "verify" with a company that's been out of business for 4 years ;)

I would think that sloppy work would create employee panic... oh wait, no... fcra has no teeth and the cras aren't afraid of us...

    ignorance and apathy.
