When applying for various Credit cards why do some companies ask for so much verification and others don't? (Check stubs/w-2s) I know when you're solicited or pre-approved or approved or whatever those aren't required. It seems to be different online than it is over the phone, any ideas? RE: Mostly low end cards do th If you have questionable or incorrect (time to fix) on your report, they may also do this! Check out your report. If it has 80 bazillion addresses, 3 different names, and two socials tied to it.... well you get the point. Also if there is NOTHING on your report, same reason. fraud is rampant in the credit industry still
