I had a 6 yr old account that I disputed with all three. TU deleted it, EX deleted it, but EQ just now verified it. *sigh* I know it happens...but it's just so frustrating. The CA is SARMA. Anyone know anything at all about them? If they're good at record-keeping, etc? TIA, Future1966
If you were a basball player you'd be battin 666! That's pretty good. Seriously, that's not bad. If the SOL has not passed (assuming this is accurate and that is why you don't validate) and you don't want to wake the CA, you could continue disputing with EQ until they relent. Try online then snail mail or wait a month between. If the SOL has passed or the account IS incorrect (I mean anything mis-spelled names, wrong balance, wrong DOLA...etc) then I would send a validation letter to SARMA. Wait till the validation CRRR is received then send another dispute to EQ. Also pull your report during the 30 days to make certain it is marked "in dispute". You can get tough and they will eventually relent. Bottom line, Be Persistent (That good-ole NanaC phrase again). Eventually you will succeed. -Peace, Dave BTW they ALL keep shoddy records...certainly poor enough not to provide proper validation! That is why they LIE, CHEAT, STEAL, and THREATEN you...don't fear them.

Thanks for the advice, Dave! The SOL has passed, so I will proceed as you've advised. I was kinda hoping it would just drop off when I asked for verification, like it did with TU and EX, but oh well. Maybe EQ didn't actually verify...just said they did? Blech... Thanks again!
