Ya'll...help me out here..I did not receive any response from my online disputes to TU so I'm sending the next letter. Looking at the sample letters, why am I giving them 15 days more? They had 30, they didn't validate, they should be removed. Your help is most appreciated.
OK, here's what I'm thinking...and this is for the online TU disputes ignored (not the first time, either!!!) Whatcha all think? your street City, State, Zip July 2, 2002 Trans Union P.O. Box 2000 Chester, PA 19022 To Whom It May Concern: On 5/31/02, I completed an online dispute at your website (www.transunion.com) using your provided â??dispute online wizard.â? This dispute included a request to correct errors in my personal information and to reinvestigate two additional items which are erroneously on my credit report. I have enclosed a photocopy of the dispute which clearly shows the date at the bottom of the page of 5/31/02. The federal Fair Credit Reporting Act requires that you complete your reinvestigation of my request within 30 days. It has been more than 30 days. I assume that I have not received a reply because you have been unable to verify the information. Therefore, please remove the incorrect items from my credit report at once and send me and anyone who has requested a copy of my credit report within the previous six months a corrected credit report. Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter. I have sent a copy of this letter to the Federal Trade Commission. Sincerely, ________________________________________ *your sig* Name: Your Name Social Security number: XXX-XX-XXXX cc: Federal Trade Commission
