Why is DOLA significant?

    From what I understand, charge off stay on the account 7 or 7.5 years (depending on what year the account info was added to the file) from the date of the first delinquency that led to the charge off.

    So where does DOLA come into play?

    That delinquency date should be recorded as the DOLA. They should be the same thing.

    The sol is also figured on the dola.
