What is the purpose behind all of those phony pre-approvals and pre-selected offers that people get? I can't see why the cc companies even bother with that. It just seems a waste of time for them to process people that they aren't really going to approve and it just creates hard feelings among applicants who probably wont bother with them when their credit is actually good enough. It just seems to me like a big waste of time for everyone and truly a lose/lose situation. Why don't they really prescreen people before sending them offers?
