Anyone recently get a pre-approval from a Universal Federal Savings for a Visa where if you BT at least $3500 and maintain that balance for about 18 months, you get a free laptop ? Anyone ? I just got the offer yesterday.
That means you PAY AND CHARGE AND PAY AND HAVE TO CHARGE AGAIN AND CAN'T GO UNDER $3,500... The TOTAL INTEREST would be $312.67 ($3,500 @ 11% for 1.5 years) with a DECLINING BALANCE every month...BUT with a constant balance...THAT $312.67 WOULD BE WAY HIGHER... NOT ADB (MORTGAGE) CALCULATION http://www.hsh.com/calc-amort.html
Might be a pretty good deal. I don't like Compaq though. Prefer Dell. But it would be free (minus the interest of course.)
Re: Re: Wierd pre-approval Like $32.08 a month, or $577.44 for 18 months ... And you can get a Dell for under $500 directly from their website. Not such a good deal after all.
Re: Re: Wierd pre-approval it depends on the specs of the laptop. but also you can invest that $3500 that you dont payback for 18 months into something else to earn some of that interest back like a cd or something.
Re: Re: Wierd pre-approval Just a correction, the bank pre-approval was from Universal Savings, not Universal Federal Savings.
