My wife had a credit card before we were married. At some point she had my name placed on the card so that I could use it. I don't think I ever did use it and I definitely never signed anything.

Now the card is showing on my credit report. How might I go about getting this removed? Am I responsible for this debt in some way simple because there was a card issued in my name?

    Thanks!

Depends on how the card was issued in your name. Are you jointly responsible or an authorized user?

Look at your credit reports. It usually will tell you.

    It says "Authorized User."

I did not realize it would appear on my credit report just because I was added to the account.

Dispute it as never authorized to use it.
