I now have a clean Experian report, which is the report my credit union pulls, and I'm looking for an auto loan. Called today, and while my score is high enough, they would like to see a previous mortgage or auto loan in order to get the financing terms I'm looking for. I have a paid off/perfect history loan on Equifax, albeit about 7 years old, and would like Experian to add this on their file. Has anyone had any success doing this simply by supplying them with another CRA's report? I'm thinking maybe I should call the very nice lady I spoke with about settling my lawsuit and see if I can get her to do it? Maybe since she is aware of the lawsuit, she'll offer no resistance. Any previous experiences concerning this would be appreciated greatly. If I can get this added, no doubt I'll be sitting pretty when it comes time to actually apply. beth
Sorry Beth, I got a response that they will not add info. You would have to contact the original creditor and ask they submit it. Not all companies report to all agencies. Without it on your credit report, can you have the credit union call the original creditor directly for a reference?
WHEN CUSTOMERS ASK THE CRA TO REPORT XXXXXXXX THEY SAY NO!!!! Ask the CREDIT CARD COMPANY/LOAN COMPANY/MORTGAGE COMPANY/ETC. TO REPORT IT... F.Y.I. they won't report information copied from any other CRA...
I have had success adding three trade lines to all three CRA's the past few months. Some by having the credit company call the CRA (Ford Credit), and one just recently by getting my payment record fom the grantor and sending it to the CRA (Metwest Mtg). Shawn
