Hi, I have very good credit, but my fiancee does not. What can I do to keep my good credit score after we marry in October 03? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Do not put yourself as joint or AU on any credit cards she might have. By the same token, putting her on yours will help in rebuilding her credit.

Do not apply for any joint credit after you get married! As simple as that ... and that advice goes double for even big loans like mortgage, car loans, etc.

You may add her as an authorized user to your credit cards to get her scores up a bit. But beware; some credit card companies make a big fuss to undo the authorization at a future time. So tread cautiously.

Best of luck on your upcoming nuptials
