My BK 7 will be discharged and closed (hopefully) in about 10 days. I pulled my PG tonight and noticed that EQ is reporting the correct case number but an incorrect filing date. Will this be enough to dispute the BK off my EQ report or will they just update it with the correct date? Thanks! Poochie
Congrats, Poochie! I was discharged and closed about a month ago and am wondering the same thing. One report lists my ch 7 as dismissed, so if I dispute as "have never had a dismissed ch 7" will they delete or just change to discharged? Also, any ideas on when to start disputing it? Should I work on getting the TLs deleted first, or does it matter?
Well first off wait till after you get a discharge from the courts. Pull your credit and verify that everything is 100% accurate. Review this website on what to dispute first. There is a load of info here you just got to find it. Public records are going to very hard to get removed. You will have a very difficult time getting this removed.

Search here for posts by NanaC. Several years ago she had a BK removed by what you are suggesting--"I never had a BK with xxxxx (could be wrong dates, liabilities, assets, etc). If you read the old posts you'll get some pointers. I don't remember because I've never had a BK and so I didn't pay as much attention as others probably have. So I don't know when or what the steps were, just that it was done.
