Wasn't sure if I should start this new thread or not but didn't want to hijack someone else's thread. I've got the following:

    EX (CE) - 585
    EQ - 597
    TU - 596

I've had a Target guest for 9 months, never late. CL is $500.

    tmitchell,

You can give a try and you cannot any negative in your credit report.

Having the Target guest card and paying perfectly for 9 months counts for a lot. But with either one more round of disputing and/or paying down your existing balances to $1 or $1.50, your score should be another 30 or more points higher.

You should probably wait until then to apply and cost yourself another hard inquiry.

Or you can call the number on the back of your card, and ask to be upgraded. Try that first.

    Erica,

I called the guest service number and they can't upgrade my guest card to Visa. It's up to them to decide whether you meet the requirement. They told me to apply on-line or mail the application. By the way, I have Guest Card for over two years.

OK, that may be the case for you, but I work for Target, and I know that they are still rolling out the Visas. So maybe you didn't qualify for the visa when the initial rollout happened, that doesn't mean that you don't qualify in a month when your accounts aged a bit.

    tmitchell,

Erica giving you good advice. If they don't come through, then apply online.

Actually the Visa at list 6-10 time higher limit than the Guest Card.
