A few weeks ago I got an offer from BOA for a credit card. very low limit (500.00) and I applied for it since I felt I had nothing to lose. Naturally I got denied but I did not agree with the reasons that they denied me. Most of the reasons they gave me were past issues that were being incorrectly reported. I used PlanetFeedback to present my case as to why I should have qualified for the card. I did not hear anything after sendint that letter until today. When I got home I checked my mail and saw another Pre-Qialified Acceptance Certificate from them so I decided that this was sent in response to my letter so I applied again, Instead of the instant denial I got before (well a 10 second denial) I got a message that someone will be reviewing my application and getting back to me. If I am still denied after that I will suck it up and deal wiith it. I already have a 10K line with 2800 used on my parent's BOA credit card account of which I am an authorised user and it is listed on my credit report. I did mention their account in the PF letter so while I don't NEED this small account I'd like to get it then BT my Orchard Bank card to it and sock draw my Orchard Bank card.
Good luck! On a side-note... I am an authorized user on a BofA credit card now, but it doesn't report on my credit report. How do I get them to report? How did you get them to report on the one you have with your parents?
I don't know how to get them to report, they just started reporting it. Truthfully it is my card just in my parents name. I BT'd 3K of CC debt to it for the 0% it offers. I will not have it all paid when the 0% ends but I hope we have another 0% offer by then or a lower rate offer. I'm still waiting for the GM card to post on my account they made me an AU on that as well. Hewdig it's been over 24 hours and when I checked on the status site no decision has been made yet. It tells me to check back in 24 hours just like yesterday. I guess no decision yet is a good decision. My mail problem besides an AMEX Charge off is that Household Servies for The Wiz has me 120 days late in 9/04 on an account that was paid off in 9/01 In my PF letter I wrote that I have a letter from Household that it is an error and the account is not late. I'm waiting for the account to update now, but I'm hoping a live person can see the account can't go from OK to 120 days late in just one month.
