Recently, I disputed an old Sears account as being past SOL - being reported for more than 7 years. Online dispute. I just pulled the Worth Knowing report and found that item gone. It is the only derogatory left on the report. My score went from a 10 to a 47!!!! Does this mean the item is deleted? Or does TransUnion just delete it until it is verified? I'd really love to see this come off.
I personally have found that WK is pretty up to date with TU, and have never seen them delete while a dispute is pending and then put it back on. Good luck! and I'll keep my fingers crossed that it is gone gone.
Several CNers have reported that TU does not have the ability to report accounts in dispute. It sounds like it may be gone. How long ago did you diespute it? You may want to go to TU and pull a free report.
I just disputed 2 days ago. I did a search on this subject and did hear that worthknowing isn't exactly reliable. I paid for that TU report, so I think I'll wait for their dispute update. After 7 years of bad credit, it will be a great feeling to have a clean credit report. I'm very anxious about this.
You can go to the tu site and get a free copy. Just state that you have been denied credit as the reason for your report. It is under: Credit report and Personal TU Score
