Thanks for the great advice on this board. I got my Citi AA card yesterday with a 5K limit. I was originally denied a month ago. Citi pulled EX on me instead of EQ. EX was reporting a judgement on my report that wasn't mine. That was the reason I was originally denied. I had disputed this item several times only to have it verified time and again. The Citi denial was the last straw. I called EX prepared to ream someone a new *******. I spoke to the CS rep that answered the phone and explain how their false reporting resulted in my denial or credit, and that I was very close to filing suit. He put me on hold and got his supervisor on the line. Blah blah blah I ended up faxing them a copy of the judgement I got from the courthouse proving that the judgement was not mine. They deleted the judgement from my CR the next day, apologized to me, and sent a corrected report to Citi. Bam approved wohoo, Happy Dance, Happy Dance. I probably should have done this in writing or taken them to court but a little instant justification felt good. Ed
<In that Austin Power's voice> YEAH BABY YEAH!!! :-D Welcome to the Citi club. It's nice to see people get results out of the CRAs.
Thanks everyone. I can't wait to put one of my Capital One cards in the sock drawer. It feels good not to have awful credit anymore. People treat you like such crap when you have bad credit.
