Hi gang... I have a question, I have two very recent collection accts that are both medical. Both under $200. I appealed my medical insurances denial, which I won- but it took a year and lots of paperwork. My question is, now that my insurance has gone back and pd, my co-ins balances and the fact that they were reported as collections are still on my credit report. What do you think I should do? Contact original creditors and have them recall the collection? Contact the collection agency themselves? or dispute with the CRA's? Any help would be great!! Thanks again, this board is great!! -Jaime ps==I paid off all my co- ins balances (what was left over after ins. pd.)
A lot of people at creditboards are having success using this letter Why Chat has provided. http://community-2.webtv.net/YCHANGE/STORAGE/page14.html Go over there and do a search for HIPPA .
The medical providers that are reporting are the actual professional fees of the ER docs and the radiologist that read the films. I work at the hospital and have the hospitals insurance that these claims are coming from...does that make sense?
