I'm sure your question references the "7 year reporting clock" you've read so much about. It's seven years from the original delinquency date OR charge-off date, whichever is later. The 7 years from the original delinquency date or 'ODD -- the date on which you missed a payment, it became delinquent, and it NEVER AGAIN became current. The charge-off date is the date on which the company charged off the loss on their P&L. This is usually about 6 months or so after the ODD.
