I figured what the hey and applied for the United Miles card.....switched my delta skymiles(amex) to the platinum optima w/ a fixed rate because I started carrying a balance and haven't been using my tix anyway...but since I'm going overseas and they were partnered w/ the airline I'm using I figured what the hey and gave it a shot...it wasn't instant, it took a few days but they have an automated number you call to check status and I just called and heard "approved!" YIPPEEE!!!! I think this was isn't just score driven either, it looks like someone is actually looking at the report and doing manual approvals, I don't think any are the instant...oh, and I applied on line at www.united.com
Congratulations. That's a great card. I don't know how many thousands of miles I've gotten by using it.
Only 5k intitial limit....will try to raise it.....argh, I can't remember if I did gold or signature.....wonder if they'll switch'em and raise the limit if I ask? Anyone have united?
