I must sing his praises one more time.....after only having my card for 3 months he gave me a gernerous increase. Love that Mr. Cooke... He also says that he reads the boards and appreciates all of the positive things we say about him...
I dealt with Mr. Cooke about 2 months ago. He increased my credit line by $300, unsecured my account, waived my annual fee and reduced my APR to 12.9%. Not bad at all. I mentioned to him that he and Mr. Miller had a following on the Internet, just didn't tell him on what board. Manny
couldn't agree more, While my cap1 is still my lowest limit card by far (a pathetic $500), Mr. Cooke's positive attitude and commitiment to work for the consumer, has convinced me to keep the card and my relationship with his company. Lets hope he and Mr. Miller keep up the good work! -Roman
What is your NEXT highest credit limit? If it is like $3,000.00, I would ask in a few months for a MATCH of that...couldn't hurt...
My next lowest card is $2000 (I have four cards between 2000-5000). I tried to play that angle with him, and he gave some deal about different hierarchies of cards, and that he can't raise it beyond $500 (up from $200). If I wanted anything higher, he would need to pull a hard inquiry and apply for another card. The last thing I needed was more inquiried and new tradelines, so I declined. He a also asked to call him again only in 6-9 months. Until it gets to the level of my other cards, I'll use it to make small internet purchases. No real use carrying it around for now. But again, it seems to be worth it to keep a relationship with this company. -Roman
