WOOOHOOO! Amex approval!

    no one in my direct department, but at least 55 in this building. Lots of parking close to the building now, Glad to have a job too. it is hard on everyone even the survivors.

    YOU HAVE THE "TOUCH"...

    You wouldn't beleive what I have done to TRY TO get a limit increase or a low rate BT from AMEX...

    I just GOTTA' get rid of the "GEORGE FACTOR"

    Amex is hurtin for business.---->Then why WON'T they "BUDGE" for me???

    GEORGE, I feel for you. I was actually thinking about the George Factor before I called to activate my card. I seemed to have really good luck with getting limit increases (except for stupid Providian 8 months ago). But it may be because I tell them I'm planning to do a huge balance transfer and need a high limit to accomplish that. I also don't activate the card until I obtain the increase. It probably helps that it's near Christmas, and they want to get thier portion of holiday spending.

    The best Platinum rewards IMO are

    free Hertz Gold membership
    automatic Starwood Preferred Gold status

    and (brand new and very cool)
    free Delta Crown Room membership (when you fly on Delta, of course)

    Just those 3 are worth more than the price of annual membership dollar for dollar, plus there are a ton of other benefits.

    It makes most sense for frequent travelers, especially those who travel overseas.
