I called last week to see about an increase, I have the account for almost a year. Well the rep said sorry but we can not approve your request at this time. Now I had received this card after being denied last year after I pfb and Robin at bofa gave me a credit limit of $1000.00. Not great but I was just starting my journey so I was not complaining. Well I sent another pfb letter and a nice lady named Heather contacted me. I faxed her some updated income information and she asked me if she could pull a hard inquiry. I was a little hesitant about that, but they pull exp every month and it is my worst report, so I figured they pull TU for hard inquiries which is my best report, so I said go ahead. Ten minutes later she called me and said she had 2 options for me, 1. balance transfer about 5k and get a 10k limit or 2. no transfer and get 5k. Of course I took option #1. This is amazing, in one year to get a 9k increase. My highest limit currently is 5k. I have to say if it was not for this board, I would be carrying a wallet full of $250.00 limit cards right now from subprime banks. Also, she changed my card from gold to platinum.
Hello Dimitri, Major Congrats to you.... yeah bofa is really cool and I just got a major credit line increase with them too... I only had the account for 5 mon's went from $3500 to $10000 and upgrade to Platinum too... without a hard inq.... anyways Major Congrats again!! Thx, Kev
