Is the Worthknowing.com report free? How does that work? Is it secure? Can I trust it? What sort of information do they ask? Thanks.
RE: Worthknowing.com -- is it Yes you can go to worthknowing.com and receive your free credit report which is generated from Trans Union. You have to put in your personal information such as name, address, previous address, ss# and if you have any loans(house, car) you must put in, I believe the starting numbers. We have found that this is somewhat accurate but at times it does not have all the information correctly, but hey it's free and atleast will shed some light if you haven't received a report from TU. As for inquires is is supposed to be a "soft one", though others have said they were given a "hard" inquiry, in my experience it has always resulted in a "soft" one. good luck Mom
RE: Worthknowing.com -- is it It shows up as a soft inquiry. Just got my TransUnion Credit file and here is what is says: "[The worthknowing.com] inquiry is not displayed to anyone but you and will not affect any creditor's decision or any score".
RE: Worthknowing.com -- is it Thanks Mom for the information! I will try it. I just dont understand what the gimmick is. Why are they giving away this information for free and is my identity safe with the website? Thanks
RE: Worthknowing.com -- is it Not sure why they are, maybe they get something from the creditors that make you offers?? Who knows?? But I would safe to is pretty safe and let us know how you do? Mom
