Like many of you, I took advantage of the free TransUnion credit report service from worthknowing.com.

I'm also a member of TU's paid creditability.com service and used it to determine if worthknowing.com posted a charged (hard) inquiry on my credit report.

It did not. The inquiry is listed as a promotional inquiry with this message: "These inquiries are not displayed to anyone but you and will not affect any other creditor's decision or any score."

I, too, subscribe to CreditAbility, and received the e-mail notification. However, I believe one receives a notification regarding any change or access to the credit file. Even promo inquiries.
