Where the hell do these companies get their credit analysis from pre clean up,, WK reported a score of 5, and said "needs improvement".. my Tu score was in the 500's. now post clean up. NO DEROGS.. several good prime accts. TU score 700's still WK reports a score of 5.. LOL laughable.

I stopped using Worthknowing due to the data lag between updates with TU! Add this to the fact that I really did not feel comfortable with the security of the website since it seemed to frequently move form secure HTTPS pages to non-secure HTTP without the traditional IE warnings that other, apparently more secure sites afford. Someting to consider when you realize that Worthknowing stores your SSN in an Internet accessible database - I decided that I am just not going to go there anymore!

Other than a one time freeby, I would hae to agree with your assesment in that I fell worthknowing.com is really not worthknowing!

https only encrypts data in transmission and prevents tampering/spoofing. it's only needed if a page is transmitting sensitive data. hence, dropping in and out of https doesn't matter as long as it's https when it's supposed to be :) it has no bearing on internal security measures unfortunately.

browser warnings: this is a user configured browser setting, nothing they do on thier end would effect this.

internet accessible db: no way of knowing the
behind-the-scenes security infrastructure, and https is not an indicator either way. On the surface it's no different then any other web based site of its kind (including online banks, the CRA's, etc). I'm always concerned about this with any site just because it IS impossible to know how secure their data is w/o knowing their IT infrastructure :( I'd think WK would not be as compelled as a bank to set up multiple layered DMZ's, security certificates, etc :(

They use a score of 1-100...

ANY OTHER SCORE FROM ANY OTHER CRA HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH "WK"

    IT'S FREE!!!
    It's something to go on!!!

IF YOU ARE UNHAPPY WITH "WK" GET YOUR MONEY BACK!!!

If you are real NICE when you ask...they will even give you a 200% refund!!!

the wk score is a crock... even my mom, with perfect credit and 40+ years of credit history only has a score of 20. Myself, I have close to 700 FICO and my WK score just recently reached 10-- whoo, hoo!
