Even after all the comments on this board about worthknowing, I went ahead andgot my free TU report. It appears accurate. No negatives but a very high amount of revolving debt. They included a lot of stuff from my son which will have to be removed. I have two questions and would appreciate any input. I understand this scoring model is at best a good guess so I am not treating it as gospel. 1. They gave me a 41 score. Can you give me an idea where this would be on the FICO scale? The main reason for the low score was high revolving charge debt. 2.They said I was approved for four credit cards. Are these honest approvals or the typical "apply and we will evaluate your credit"? Three were from Direct Merchants and one was from NEXTCARD. Thanks.
IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH F.I.C.O. EVERYBODY ON THIS BOARD WAS GETTING 5 POINTS I HAVE 59 POINTS (YESTERDAY) MY...F.I.C.O. IS 698 WIFE.....59 POINTS (YESTERDAY) HER F.I.C.O. IS 721 FIRST SCORE I GOT WAS 100...
I realize this is not a FICO score. I guess my question is, assuming I have better credit than 41% of the population, as worthknowing says I do, where would that put me in the FICO scoring model? And, I realize any guess is just a guess. I am just looking for any input you may have.
Tom, a FICO 690 is about the 50 percentile. Keep in mind, though, what George is saying -- many people here with median FICO scores have scored a "5" and others with similar FICO scores have scored a "75"... In other words, we as a group are questioning the WorthKnowing score construction and basis. The bottom line: it seems to be a WorthNotKnowing bit of fluff that bears no (or, at best, very little) relationship with any known Fair Isaac scoring model. Given the anecdotal reports here, I would even go so far as to suggest that the WorthKnowing score has no statistical validity whatsoever. Randy
TU was my best report. I have a negative on both my EXP and EQU that I am working to get off. I was waiting to get that deletion before ordering my FICO score from them. I figured that since my TU is clean, I might learn something from worthknowing. I guess not. At least I saw all the student loans they listed that are not mine. I will have to dispute those. I haven't been in college for 27 years. And, I never had a student loan. Thanks for your comments.
