I'm just wondering what my chances for being apporoved with citt aa silver. My scores are TU 693 AND my Equifax score was 700.BUT I do have some derogatories but they are old..they are as follows...1 90 late from 1996 which account was paid off and closed by consumer.....1 30 day late 1996.....2 unpaid judgments from 1995 ( should these have come off after 7yr SOL?) .....and 1 state tax lien that was paid immediately but does not show a release date on credit report from 1991. Thanks
I may be wrong, but I think they are pulling exp for the majority of us. They did for me. If your exp. score even remotely resembles the other 2, you should have no problem getting approved.
Pulled Equifax for me, Saar or Sam suggested I put my 2 derogs in dispute and apply...worked like a charm. As far as the 1995 (7yr) items...what month in 1995? They should drop after that month in 2002. As far as the Tax Lien, paid tax liens can be reported for up to 10 years (I believe)...but you have passed the 10 year mark, I would dispute the 2 items from 95 and the tax lien and see if they will update with removal. Oh yeah, with your scores you should have no problem getting the AA card...I would try the disputes first though. -Peace, Dave
They pulled Transunion for me, and my score was much lower than yours. I was approved for the AA Silver w/ 1k Credit limit by writing them a letter after denial via Planet Feedback. It worked well and they called me on Wednesday to tell me that I got the card and it would be here in 7 to 10 days (Next Week). Very nice lady to talk to and said that they use an internal scoring method if you request reconsideration. As a matter of fact she said that 85% of the people that ask for reconsideration are usually given sometype of Credit Limit and a card of sometype. I got what I wanted from Citi and she even said I should apply for their Citi AA Visa and she would make sure that I got approved for another 1k.
I responded to a pre-approval offer. I hoped they would pull Experian as I have no inquiries on that report and I wanted the spread them out a bit. I did receive the card, but they pulled Equifax for me.
