    Was thinking of this today...

Let's say a person opens up two credit cards of $1000 each... getting no fee balance transfer cards.

Rack up $500 on card A... before the due date, bal xfer to card B.... before card B due date, send it back to card A...

that way you never make a payment on the debt you acquired and it looks like you're making $500 payments on your credit card each month... then your credit lines increase... would this work?

No, it would take a miracle to manage the timing of the transactions. You are making a huge assumption that the banks will do things when they say they will so that you would never be late with a payment from one to other. Also, I think they would figure out what you're doing. Finally, it's way too much heavy lifting to get what are likely to be only modest CL increases in 6 months or more.

You also are assuming that the banks will continue to offer balance transfers at a decent rate indefinitely or that they will even consider doing so on a card with a $1000 limit in the first place.
