Would this strategy work?

    Hiya all!

I'm a long time reader on this wonderful forum, and I'm so glad to have found it!
I'm trying to get a housing mortagage, but before I can do that I need to boost my FICO score a bit. There are several adverse accounts on my credit report, I'm trying to lessen their impact this way.. could someone please comment on my strategy just in case I end up shooting myself in foot?

    1. CA for $400 USD. This collection item was filed right after I move, so I genunelly did not know about it until I opened up my credit report. I plan to debt verify with the CA. If they can produce all the evidence, than I'll offer settlement-for-deletion.

    2. 2 CC from Citi. These two cards were both opened on 2004/12, but one of them has status of Payment After Charge Off, other has status of Paid or Paying as Agreed. Remark were Account Closed, other had remark as CC lost or stolen. I'm not sure how to deal with these two entry, or, not even sure how I got these two. Can I write a goodwill letter to CITI and have one of them removed as duplicate?

    3. CC from HSBC. The card was closed earlier this year for 60+ Delinquency. But it was not sent to CA. I paid off this one already, and I'm hoping to reinstate the account, then goodwill endlessly until HSBC drop the 60+ Delinquency.

Does these above sounds like something viable, or are there any additional comments some kind members here would like to offer?

Closely reviewing the two Citi accounts.. They were closed in 2005/2006.
I think what happened was that I lost my CC, and it was closed in 09-05. However, there was a payment (30) that I missed in 08-05. The account was re-opened, and the delinquency just kept piling up (08-05 until 03-06). I found out about it in Oct 2006 and paid it right off. Is there a way to GW to remove these two entries?
