Wouldn't you think that the creditor and collection agencies would know that they would get a lot more money for us if they would just take it off our credit? I know that I would be willing to pay full price if they would just take if off my credit report and I'd get a new start. I think anything over two years is irrelevant anyway. Life changes so much. I know that we are not in the same financial bind now that we were in two years ago.

Good point. I would be willing to pay everyone on my report 100% for deletion or an I1 or R1 status. Geez...they are really stupid, the collection agencies could make much more commission, but I have one I will NEVER EVER pay for a measly $28 because they are sooooo rude. I don't care if I don't have anything for 10 yrs before I will pay those jack***s.

I agree, some of them are not worth paying but I would if they wouldn't be so stupid. Some of them try to say that it's againts the law, but I have confirmed with all 3 cra's that they can add and REMOVE information any time they want. The only thing it says is that an item can stay on the credit report UP TO 7 years, not that it has to stay that long.

The reporting period needs to be reduced to 3 years for all Neg. Info.

I would not pay 1 red cent if i did not owe it.
When people pay what they do not owe just to get it off their reports it encourages them to keep on black mailing folks.
