On Pop's report - this is the first big change we have seen! Disputed a collection, and last week it was refreshed to say "verified remains" but now it says UNRATED and "Account in dispute under Fair Credit Billing Act" whatever that may mean. Any ideas? What is this unprovoked dispute? lol Not that I care as long as it gets off, but I was preparing for a hassle with the CA and now maybe not?
LOL I disputed 4 things on my Equifax and LOST 6 points!! Whats up with that?? oh well, just my luck! Congrats on the points!
The thing is, when it WAS in dispute his score was 664, and then it came out of dispute as "verified" with no change in score, then this week it is marked unrated and his score is up 35 points.
It is my understanding that if it states no status it is not factored into the score. Just what I have seen on past threads....
I'm just curious as to why it was put back into dispute when Pop had not re-disputed it himself. I have also never seen the particular notation before. Usually it just says consumer disputes, reinvestigation in progress. I was just wondering if this "billing act" notation was something different.
Re: Re: Wow! Exp 35 point jump! If you sent a validation or disputed directly with the ca, they are required to place that notation there. If you didn't, maybe because of the dispute with the cra the ca placed the notation. Whatever the reason, the notation of disputed per FCBA is a "reporter" notation.
Re: Re: Wow! Exp 35 point jump! Thank you. We have not had any contact with this CA yet. We were just trying the easy online disputes first. Hopefully this TL will come off easily after all.
