No one I know understands WHY this is a big deal, but I knew you guys would! Got the response to my EQ dispute. They deleted EVERYTHING. I only have two derogs left, one of which will fall off naturally in a month or so, and the other, the OC answered my letter saying they are instructing the CRAs to update my record. They didn't say WHAT they were telling them to update, but since I asked for a review of the lates, I can only assume it was that. My FICO description now says I "have a good score and a wide array of loans and credit products will likely be available" to me. Isn't that fabulous! The only negative factors I have left on the FICO are due to high balances. If I can just pay those off, I'll be able to finally buy a house. I can't believe it. Now I'm going to be checking my EQ every day, just to make sure they didn't make a mistake and delete accidentally.
what was the basis of your dispute, and how did you proceed? if you had success, maybe there is applicability for someone who is in a similar boat BTW, CONGRATULATIONS !!!
