Not really credit related but I remember somone asking about chex. Finally aftere trying for one year, I was able to open a checking account with BoA. It is exactly 3 years since I was put on chex. THey didn't check credit or anything, just chex and they lady open it for me, also open savings. If you are on chex and its been 3 years try Bank of America, they WILL open for 3 years or older marks on chex. Also, I was able to dispute a negative mark (had 2) with chex by saying it wasn't mine. So that might have helped. And I am in the process of deleting another one, but I am so glad I finally open account! If only I can do the same thing for my credit, but I am working on it. THanks for all the help.
I am sooo happy for you! I remember that icky feeling waiting to get approved for a checking acount... What a good day for approvals! Must be the full moon Deb
I opened a BOA checking account (via the internet) last year and they did check my credit report. Glad that you got the account!
UNLESS YOU GET PAID INTEREST...don't give them your SS#...(not that they really need it to get a credit report...I can attest to that...FARMERS INSURANCE)... I had a twenty minute discussion with the agent about INVADING MY PRIVACY!!! I THREATENED TO CANCEL I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY TIMES!!! THEY GET PAID IN FULL BEFORE COVERAGE STARTS!!! THEY DON'T ISSUE CREDIT CARDS, AND THEY DIDN'T LOAN ME ANYTHING!!! I HAVEN'T EVEN HAD A CLAIM!!! I'LL STOP RANTING NOW...
