I thought I would just post a sucess I just had. I had a charge off account on my equifax report. I first disputed it in october, I got a letter back saying it was deleted in Nov. Well, I pulled a report on 12/05 and it was back on my report. I just faxed Robin Holland an ITS for reinsertion this morning at 8:00AM and at 8:26AM I get a phone call from the Chris, the vice president of consumer relations or something like that and he said, this account has been deleted from your report. Sorry for any inconvenience. They are also Fed-Exing me an updated copy of my report. The advice on this site really works!! Thanks to all who helped!!!!
Me too, I did get the phone number for the VP, so if it does show up again, I am contacting him ASAP. If anyone wants his phone number, just ask. Thanks.
Okay, I was excited about this yesterday but today I pulled my eqfx report and the charge off is off but my score didn't budge!!! What gives?
How old was the account? If it was costing you -8 points for being a charge off, but getting you +8 for its age, getting it removed will have no effect on your score.
Congrats. I have had a lot of success with Equifax. I just got my Bk and a citi charge off deleted. All that is left are 2 30 day lates.
Re: Re: Yahooooooo! Did any other accounts update since the last report (monthly billing cycles, etc)? Maybe the plus was negated by going a little higher on a credit line, etc.
