They did as they said they would and deleted my two lates from Equifax. Experian hasn't been updated yet though. My score on EQ is now 694!
Who did you talk to at Cap 1 about deletion ? I've been trying to get some lates with them deleted and have had no luck at all. T
All I did was call the customer service number. Explained that my lates were from 3 years ago when I was in law school and that it was their fault (or maybe the post office..who knows) that they didn't send my statements to my temporary summer address when I was working in another city. They said they would investigate and report an update to the CRAs. This was 3 weeks ago or so. Checked Equifax and the lates are gone! I've had this account for about 10 years and those lates were my only lates anywhere on my CR.
Congrats Vanili - now - call them back and tell them how plaeased you are with their service - then ask which Cap One card should you apply for? With your scores - you should get $5K out of the gate. They are still the largest contributor to my steallar credit record (last 6 yrs after BK); I started with a small SECURED card, then paid it always on time. That card was converted to GOLD, then converted to prime PLAT MC. My rate is 9 on both purchase and cash - if I took cash. They jump started my NEW AUTO LOAN by sending me a pre-approved PLATINUM AUTO PKG for $30K - (yeah - at 12.95%, but I can pay it off at any time....) or $600 month payment. ________________________________________ SIDEBAR - The AUDI A4 3.0 is worth it. I have never been so thrilled with technology. Its driving a race car with leather and heated seats!!! AND again, it was rated number 2 - yes behind the BMW 330i - as the best in the world. The latest Car and Driver ratings quote: "Know what? We've never driven an A4 we didn't like. Strike that. Love." Its stunning and the interior is how cars SHOULD be designed! _______________________________________________ I was thinking about getting a mortgage this year, but I have decided that if I do it in Nov 03, I should be able to get the best market rates - and the AUDI will have no balance. Vanili - all negatives on all bureaus fall off - my Chap 13 was filed in 10/96 - I completed is successfully after 5 years of payments so it falls off the reports 10/03. GREAT!!!! Oh I don't need any new credit cards!! I don't even have a job right now and have 4 credit cards with a total credit availability of about 40K
