Boy I hope this is ok for me to do.

My other favorite board (besides CREDITNET of course), BAYHOUSE, which closed sometime ago, looks like it is back up!!!!

I check in there routinely hoping she'll open it up again and was very excited to see that she has.

I hope I don't get in trouble for posting this. I always loved Bayhouse and I recognize a few names of those here that used to post there.

Also...to those members here who have sued the credit reporting agencies....
Would you be willing to post your experience at the Bayhouse forum as well? Christine is a very strong advocate of using small claims court in order to force the bureaus to comply with the law. I'm sure she would be heartened to know that some have done so successfully.

She can come over here. I'm sure pbm is willing to let bygones be bygones.

She's left because of Bobby - this board is now Bobby-free.

I know that some of you are fond of the folks at Bayhouse, but let me tell you that based on my personal experience and in my own opinion, they are not terribly fond of people with bad credit trying to remove valid negative items from their reports. I know they are fond of being aggressive with the CRAs when it comes to the removal of inaccurate information, but I don't think that fondness extends to many of the tactics advocated on this board. I liken their attitude on our tactics to one you would customarily get on the Motley Fools board. Anyways, it's just an opinion, not fact, and for what it's worth.

Did you notice the new thread discussing types (tiers) or issuers?

Looks like they agree there's a definite question whether Household Bank cards will be treated like finance company accounts because of the Household Finance affiliation...

Glad to see they're up and running again.

I took a look at the Bayhouse site tonight and I see some talk about Citibank NOT reporting limits. Is this true?! Is it true for all their products or just some? What about ATT Universal which they just bought? Any answers for those of you who have Citi/CitiAA/ATTUniv accounts would be most appreciated.

    Mist,
It is true that citibank doesnot report limits for NEw card holders. I personally had my limits reported to Equifax and Transunion but NOT Experian when i opened my account in Sept 2000. I had my limits added to my Experian by asking them to add the information and sending copies of my billing statements.

I already have one statement and it is not showing yet. Should I be proactive and write to all three CB's asking to have it show? I'm confused about this because I know new accounts hurt you. If I thought Citi would wait to report the accounts at all for a few months I wouldn't mind but if they report the account MINUS the credit limit I'm going to be tanked by FICO!

I recall reading on both boards that niether Citibank or Capital One report limits. Several people have sent copies of statements with their credit limits highlighted, to the bureaus. It took several months but I believe the limits were added.

You are correct that she does not advocate trying to remove correct data, unless they are breaking the law somehow, which they almost always are.

These are definately two different types of boards with excellent info on both.

Also, for Lizardking. I hope you don't mind. I added a link with info about your success in suing the bureaus. When she closed the board down some time ago, part of the reason was how disheartened she was that all the posters that complain about their credit, have excellent cases but for whatever reason, will not file suit. I believe she was even going to try to start a fund to help people pay for attorneys and such. Of course, everybody was afraid to take the big bad credit bureaus to court. Except you and a few others apparently.
