Yet another success story

December '08: I couldn't even qualify for a Radio Shack Battery Club card. Charge-offs, 120+ days late, student loans in default, no revolving credit. I didn't know my scores, but could safely assume that they were in the mid- to upper 500s.

First of all, I religiously read everything I could on this site, and put my knowledge into action. I wrote letters, let things age off, and successfully sued a major national CA for FDCPA violations. I opened two revolving accounts, and religiously paid off my balance each month.

July '10: I just closed on my first home, with a 30 year fixed rate FHA loan. TU: 704, EQ: 711, EX: 744.

It IS possible to climb out of the dumps, but it takes WORK. Work + time = eventual freedom.

Thanks to all those here whose advice and guidance helped make it happen!
