Erica, I was reading some previous posts and came across one that hit me (light bulb came on). You stated that since you lived in NY, some of your accts were "obsolete" since they've hit the 5 year mark. I was wondering if you had any luck with that? 5 yrs vs 7yrs.
Erica has just moved south to be with Supershawn, tee hee. She made the announcement last night, but creditnet was down, so i may have been the only one who's heard so far. I imagine she's kinda busy today.
So far, I haven't had any success with this. I did do a TEMPORARY forwarding address to keep NY as my primary address, so hopefully I will have some results mid-2002. I will keep you all posted on the outcome of this and see what happens. It will be interesting to see, especially since I have just moved south of the Mason-Dixon line (yes, Breeze, you were the FIRST Creditnetter to know). But, we'll see...... OOPS...I forgot I'm on Supershawn's laptop, but it is me posting. heehee
Oh Hi Supershawn..... I forgot you 2 got married. Forgive me....I'm losing my mind and hair right about now. Soon I'll be called "gran" mother2. heeee heee. Just keep me posted. I'd love to know how it all works out. Happy Holidays you 2.
Ok, some of my accounts aren't obsolete until May 2002. I don't live in NY anymore because I moved south to be with my Hubby. Anyways, to keep my NY address as my primary address for now, I did a temporary forwarding to my new address until after the 5 year rule is up. Then I can change my address permanently. I haven't disputed anything on the basis of being obsolete yet, but am starting to think about drafting the letters now. I have heard that some CRA's remove a few months early. We'll see. Congrats on the grandmother2! Don't spoil them too bad....hehe.
