btw, i just asked. I have two platinum selects and a dividend platinum select right now. Citi of course. So if you are all about the lowest APR, you know they are eager to deal with this product line.

Remember that credit cards can only assuage the blow of losing your job until the borrowed debt mounts and it's time to repay the money. Rather than keep credit cards "just in case of an emergency," focus on building up a true emergency fund. (This is the kind of old-fashioned advice your grandma would have offered, except I don't need Poly-grip to keep my teeth in place while I give it.) Anyway, Sam, you probably already have a solid emergency fund, so I realize I'm just writing this for others who are looking for good advice (well, hopefully good) on this board. Doc

Re: You can hold 3 platinum select' From what I understand, tell me if I am wrong Sam, you are allowed to be approved, no bait and switch needed, for two non-affinity cards (Platinum Select) and one affinity card (Sony, Drivers, Dividend & AA) I was told the Dividend card is considered an affinity card. I did not ask if you could take the one affinity card and convert it into a Platinum Select to total three non-affinity accounts. -0m

Examples would be; CITI's Platinum Dividend, AMEX's Delta SkyMiles, MBNA's National Geographic ect. Non-affinity are cards offer no rewards other than lower APR's. -0m
