I came home today, and lo and behold in the mail there was an envelope from Cross Country, with NO COLLECTION CALLS, and NO LATE FEES on the FRONT of the envelope. I was wondering what it was, since my $750.00 CCB account has a zero balance, so I opened it up, and inside was a letter This is what it basically said: A GREAT OPPORTUNITY: Dear arobinson: Now you can avoid potential late fees and collection calls by FULLY securing your Cross Country Bank credit card account. If you secure your credit line with a matching security deposit, we will waive late fees, and not telephone you for collection purposes if your payment is not made on time. In addition to saving you money, we want to help you make money as well. A statement savings account with CCB is a GREAT INVESTMENT. We offer 3.04 APY... YADA YADA YADA What the hell are they thinking?? I have an unsecured card, why the hell would ANYONE want to secure an already unsecured card? This has got to be the most ridiculous offer I have EVER SEEN!!! Anybody else get this?
