Re: Re: =Your Pre-Approved American Express= I also received the "Pre-Approved" letter that exotic talks about. I just went to the web address on the letter and applied. I got the usual "We're sorry but are unable to provide you with at decision at this time. Your app will be processed in the next 7-10 days...notified by mail" Probably a denial Cadman
Re: Re: Re: =Your Pre-Approved American Express= Hey, GOOD LUCK...what are your FICO SCORES? if you don't mine me asking. any baddies? =) what state are you from?
Re: Re: =Your Pre-Approved American Express= George, what's the difference between "Pre-approved" and "Pre-selected"? ???
Re: Re: Re: =Your Pre-Approved American Express= exotic - I'm in Plano, TX about 10 minutes down the street from the great (ahem) Experian office. I don't know all my scores at the moment. I just pulled Experian, it's dropped down to a 539 ouch!! It was 598 when I checked it in Feb. with a BK 7 showing. BK 7 is off as of May (now), but had a 30 day late added (oops) and after the Amex try, it puts me at 3 inq in last 6 months, 6 in last 2 years. Utilization is too high, it will taken me about 4 months to get it back down to about 50%. Cadman
Re: Re: Re: =Your Pre-Approved American Express= I guess I must still be on the blacklist. I just called the automated line to check - it's denied. The very first reason was "Account not paid as agreed". Yes, it was included when I filed BK 7 in 1993, but, I have done the voluntary repayment to them. This was supposed to remove me from the blacklist according to the people at Amex that I spoke to about it last year. I think while I'm on vacation next week, I'll see if I can find the 3 names that I talked to. If I would have known that I'd be forever blacklisted, I would have paid off my boat instead of repaying them! Cadman
